Spring CE Quarterly Meeting
Please join us on May 11, 2016 at The Armstrong Center (13040 Abercorn Street). We will begin the meeting with a breakfast bar from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The meeting will adjourn at noon. You will be able to earn continuing education credits if you are an attorney, CPA or if you are in the insurance field. No charge for current members. Guests are $50 each. Bryan A. Schivera, Esq. will give a presentation on “Utilizing Year’s Support in Estate Administration and Probate.” Mr. Schivera is an associate in the Tax and Corporate department of Oliver Maner, LLP. His primary areas of practice are corporate law, federal tax law, estate planning, estate administration and probate and estate and fiduciary litigation.
Blake L. Greco, Esq. will give a presentation on “Introduction to Gun Trusts: What They are and How They Work.” Mr. Greco is an associate in the Tax and Corporate department of Oliver Maner, LLP. Mr. Greco concentrates his practice in the areas of trusts and estates, tax, health care and business law.
Gaia L. Marchisio, Ph.D., Aronoff Professor of Family Business, Executive Director, Cox Family Enterprise Center, Kennesaw State University, will give a presentation on “Under the Tip of the Iceberg - Understanding Multi-Generation Family Dynamics.” Dr. Gaia Marchisio’s extensive background working with family-owned businesses started with her family’s own family business. Although born a 4th generation successor in an entrepreneurial family, the decision to close the family business led Marchisio to pursue a career in academics as a researcher. Now a tenured professor at Kennesaw State University, Marchisio’s teaching expands past the traditional classroom walls by developing degree and non-degree programs to educate all members of a business’s owning family.
